Corinthia London is one of the capital's true grand hotels. Originally the Hotel Metropole, it was the largest hotel in Europe when it first opened in 1885, welcoming visitors from the Home Counties and the Continent as they arrived at Charing Cross. Since then it has hosted aviators and mountaineers, adventurers and spies, the Midnight Follies and Buffalo Bill Cody. During World Wars I and II, the building was requisitioned by the War Office; Winston Churchill served as Minister for Munitions here from 1917 to 1919.

After lying vacant for many years, this legendary building was restored to its former glory and reopened by Corinthia Hotels in 2011. Today one of the city's leading luxury hotels, Corinthia Hotel London blends grandeur and heritage with contemporary design moments.

The hotel is located a few moments’ walk from the Thames Embankment, Whitehall and Trafalgar Square, making it the perfect base to explore the West End.

Tom Kerridge

"I grew up in the west of England but my grandparents and my father were originally from south east London. I remember coming here as a child and finding the energy exhilarating. Also, my Dad’s car was actually a London black cab, so even when I was being dropped off at school in Gloucester, I felt a connection to the city.

"With Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, we’re bringing a lot of the heart and soul from our Marlow pubs, but we also want people to feel the energy and excitement of being in an incredible hotel right in the middle of London. It’s a grand dining room but it’s also a fun and engaging space where everyone should feel welcome. Part of the experience is that people will feel a real connection with the food. There are real ales, a meat fridge in the room, bread and cheeses on display and, best of all, a beautiful rotisserie where we grill nearly half the main menu. So you don’t just sit at a table and get served courses, you can immerse yourself into the whole process of lunch and dinner.

Nick Beardshaw, Head Chef

Nick has worked alongside Tom Kerridge since 2010 and is the head chef who launched The Coach, winning a Michelin Star in 2017.

“We’re bringing an ethos from our pubs about how hospitality should be delivered, but this time the setting is very different. The idea of a Bar & Grill came about because the restaurant is made up of two elements. The bar is genuinely accessible to anyone who just wants a drink or a snack. The grill says it’s an unfussy, informal restaurant, for people to enjoy, plus, of course, there’s the rotisserie-led food. Whatever the occasion, we want people who come here to feel relaxed and comfortable, but in an environment that’s really special. Ultimately we want people who come to Kerridge’s Bar & Grill to take away memories that will stay with them forever.”

Our Journey

We’ve been on quite a journey since we opened The Hand & Flowers in 2005. We’ve since opened two more pubs, The Coach and The Butcher’s Tap, both also in Marlow. Now we’ve travelled downriver to London to continue the adventure.

Resident Artists

Gallerists West Contemporary have curated a collection of artworks for the dining room at Kerridge’s. These include new works by Beth Cullen-Kerridge and an art wall of smaller pieces by painters Chris Moon, Jim Threapleton, Carne Griffiths and Peter Ceredig-Evans, photographer P Gerard Barker and sculptor Mark Beattie. We are also proud to showcase a series of specially-commissioned new works by mixed media artist Robi Walters.

Beth Cullen-Kerridge

In addition to being Tom’s wife and business partner, Beth Cullen-Kerridge is a successful sculptor. In recent years she has stepped back from the running of the restaurant business to focus on her first love.

Beth trained at Liverpool John Moores and honed her craft casting bronzes for Eduardo Palozzi, Elizabeth Frink and Alberto Giacometti. She has since worked with Mike Bolus, Sir Anthony Caro and Sir Norman Foster and her public commissions can be seen at Canary Wharf, Dubai Opera House and Grosvenor Gardens. In October 2017 Beth unveiled new works at Brown Hart Gardens in North Mayfair.

Robi Walters

Robi Walters creates stunning mixed-media pieces which transform discarded items into objects of great beauty. He has collaborated with musicians including U2, Mary J Blige and Sir Paul McCartney and his work is sought after by collectors including Thandie Newton and Stellan Skarsgard. In 2017 he opened his own gallery and working studio in Soho. Robi is currently exhibiting work in London, Paris, Dubai, New York, Miami and Los Angeles. He has also curated a special collection for the dining room at Kerridge’s Bar & Grill.

Our Producers

Hannan Meats

Established in 1991, Hannan Meats sources, produces and supplies a range of fantastic meat products to some of the finest restaurants, hotels and retailers in the UK and Ireland. Founder, Peter Hannan, was born into a farming family and grew up on a beef and sheep farm in Co. Kildare, Ireland. His team hand-picks only the very best cuts of meat for Kerridge’s Bar & Grill which have been dry-aged in a Himalayan Salt Chamber over 28-45 days. This drying process concentrates the flavour, and seals in the natural juices producing a totally unique, flavoursome, award-winning beef.

William Edwards

Our tableware is designed and made by William Edwards, of Stoke-on-Trent. William and his team are suppliers of bespoke tableware to hotels, restaurants, clubs and palaces the world over. Their fine bone china is designed and made using traditional methods at the historic Anderton Works in the heart of the Potteries.

Rebellion Brewery

We’re proud to serve beer from the award-winning Rebellion Beer Company. Rebellion is a Marlow-based microbrewery that produces traditional year-round and seasonal ales using traditional methods and Marlow water.

WALTER ROSE & SON

Walter Rose & Son is a multi-award-winning butcher, recognised for master butchery skills and unrivalled sustainable meat products. With over five decades of experience, they have assembled an unparalleled range of quality products, offering some of the finest meat available. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the "Promoter" refers to Corinthia Hotel London. The competition will be run by Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, situated in Corinthia London, whose Instagram handle is @kerridgesbandg.

1. The prizes are supplied by Kerridge’s Bar & Grill at Corinthia London (“Kerridge’s Bar & Grill”, “we”, “our”).

Prizes:

2. A three-course meal for two people to be won for each of the 31 days in the month of August. (Total of 31 prizes to be won).

3.Each winning entrant, will each receive a three-course meal for two people at Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, Corinthia London (the “Prize”) which will include:

a. Three course meal for two people, which consists of one starter, main and dessert each (excludes Caviar)

b. Glass of Laurent- Perrier Brut Champagne on arrival (1per person)

c. Sommeliers ‘choice’ of wine pairing for each course (maximum of 3 glasses per person)

d. Water – unlimited

e. Tea/coffee – (1 per person)

Wine can be substituted for an alternative beverage up to the same value. Any additional drinks or food ordered will need to be paid for by the winner.

4. Reservation for 2 people will be available at 8pm on the selected date only, dates and times cannot be changed or moved.

5.The prize does not include travel costs or any other expenses you may incur on your visit.

How to enter:

6. To enter the prize draws you must do all of the following:

a. follow the @kerridgesbandg Instagram account;

b. like the grid post – video of Tom Kerridge explaining the Day Off Dining competition

c. tag another Instagram user and include what day you’d like to dine in the comments of the Day off Dining Pinned video post

d. The Winner must be able to provide suitable evidence that they work in hospitality. Upon request, an official corporate document, that includes the employer and employee name will need to be provided.

Eligibility:

7. Entry is free, no purchase necessary.

8. The prize draws are open to UK mainland residents.

9. Tom Kerridge Group and Corinthia London employees, their family, and any other person associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.

10. Entry is restricted to one entry per person per week, duplicate entries will be excluded from this prize draw.

11. Only entries which have met the criteria detailed in 6a, 6b and 6c above will be placed into the prize draws.

12. Prize draws will take place on a weekly basis and winners will also be picked on a weekly basis. There is a total of 4 weekly prize draws:

Entry to the weekly prize draw will open at and close as follows:

Week 1: 09.00 BST on Mon 25th July 2022 and close at 23:59 BST on Sun 31st July 2022.

Week 2: 09.00 BST on Mon 8th August 2022 and close at 23:59 BST on Sun 14th August 2022.

Week 3: 09.00 BST on Mon 15th August 2022 and close at 23:59 BST on Sun 31st July 2022.

Week 4: 09.00 BST on Mon 22nd August 2022 and close at 23:59 BST on Sun 28th August 2022.

Other terms

13. Entrants must specify in the Comments what day they would like to dine that week from Tuesday through to Monday.

14. Winners must dine on the date and time specified by The Promoter in the confirmation booking email.

15. The prize cannot be redeemed on another date or time.

16. Winners can bring a guest who do not work in the hospitality industry.

17. Winners will be sent a Booking Confirmation email that details the time and date of their reservation.

18. Winners must provide I.D to prove their age to consume alcohol on the premises.

19. Entries received after the Closing Time will not be counted. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to any third-party technical failure (including but not limited to technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries lost, damaged, incomplete, or illegible. Entries may be disqualified if incomplete.

20. Within one (1) day of the Closing Time, all eligible entries will be entered into a weekly draw, in which seven (7) winners will be selected at random from all entrants. The competition will run for four weeks. The winning entrants will be contacted, within 24 hours of closing dates, by direct message to their Instagram handle, to co-ordinate reservation confirmation and to provide validation of working on the hospitality industry (see 6d).

21. If a winner does not respond within 8 hours of being contacted, they will forfeit their right to the Prize and we shall be entitled to select another winner by another random draw. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification message within 8 hours of the time on which they are notified, or they will also forfeit the Prize.

22. The winners’ last names, countries and copies of their winning entries, and the name of the observer, will be available to those who email hello@kerridgesbarandgrill.co.uk within 28 days of the published closing date. If you object to any or all of your surname, country and winning entry being published or made available, please contact hello@kerridgesbarandgrill.co.uk. In such circumstances, the promoter must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

23. The Prize is as stated, it is non-exchangeable and non-transferable. No cash alternative is available.

24. The Prize is subject to availability.

25. Instagram are not in any way affiliated or involved in this prize draw.

26. All entrants to the prize draw shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death to the maximum extent permissible by law.

27. Failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize.

28. We reserve the right to replace the prize and any part thereof with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so.

29. Our decision regarding aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

30.We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend this prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

32. The terms are governed by English law and all prize draw entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
