Tom Childs steps into role of Head Chef at Kerridge's Bar & Grill

We are delighted to announce that Tom Childs, formerly Sous Chef at Kerridge's Bar & Grill, has taken on the role of Head Chef.

Tom Childs has been with Kerridge’s Bar and Grill for five years, following a distinguished career that includes roles at No.6 by Paul Ainsworth, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, and the former Hedone in Chiswick.

Reflecting on this announcement, Tom Kerridge remarked, 'Nick’s departure has paved the way for Tom Childs to step up as Head Chef, a role he is more than prepared for. We have collaborated on an entirely new menu launching this month. Tom has crafted an array of outstanding dishes that maintain Kerridge’s essence while celebrating the finest seasonal British ingredients and classic culinary techniques. I’m confident they will be very well received.

The new menu at Kerridge’s Bar & Grill introduces signature dishes with a unique Tom Kerridge twist, thoughtfully crafted to celebrate classic cooking and premium ingredients, complemented by traditional sauces that enhance rich, deep flavours.

  • Quail’s Egg and Mushroom Tart (with Hollandaise sauce)
  • Lobster Thermidor (enhanced with fine herbs and sauce américaine)
  • Venison Bun (featuring veal sweetbreads, red wine sauce, and salsa verde)
  • Honey Roasted Suckling Pig Ham (sliced and served from the trolley)
  • Gary Rhodes Bread and Butter Pudding (served with chocolate ice cream)


Our first collection of artworks

Kerridge's Bar & Grill

Kerridge’s has unveiled its first collection of artworks, curated by gallerists West Contemporary.

The dining room showcases two major bronze sculptures by Beth Cullen-Kerridge, ‘Steve,’ and ‘Dorsal Angel’. Smaller works by Beth are also displayed within an art wall, also featuring a number of other West Contemporary artists including painters Chris Moon, Jim Threapleton, Carne Griffiths and Peter Ceredig-Evans, photographer P Gerard Barker and sculptor Mark Beattie.

Mixed-media artist Robi Walters, known for taking discarded objects and making them beautiful again, has created a variety of signature ‘petal’ pieces for Kerridge's using menus collected from the general public by Tom through his social media channels. These vary from wedding menus and first dates to souvenir menus from all over the world and have been used to create two bespoke table tops within the restaurant to help preserve, yet evoke new food memories for diners at the restaurant. A 4 x 4ft wall piece will be completed by Tom and Robi together on site, with a limited edition print signed by both the artist and the chef which will be made available later in the year.
